Todd Akin and other unrelated interesting information

Todd Akin must be utterly embarrassed right now. (But wait, is he really?)

Even listening to this line sort of befuddles you and you are left thinking ‘wait…did I hear that right?’ The guy actually said that rape does not lead to pregnancy. HA! Told ya you ‘ll be baffled! The first thing that comes to my mind is Maaaan he’s dumb or what! Did he go to school? Does he know any women in his life otherwise why would he talk about them like they are from another planet? Does he have the least bit amount of common sense?

Alas, the worst part is, he does know women are from this planet. He also has two daughters.(poor them). And he’s also an educated person and he’s a leader. And thaat, is an absolute tragedy. God save America’s women.

Not to mention I find it unbelievable that some people support the ‘pro life’ approach which means a blanket ban on abortions, even in the case of rape or incest. And that is a greater tragedy. But I won’t go there.

Which lead me to wonder, what is India’s policy on abortion. It is not illegal. (thank god) So a woman can take control of what happens to her and her life.

(Although on a serious note, female foeticide is rampant in India. So there is definitely exploitation of law. But we won’t go there right now.)

On a funny note, due to the rampant C- section deliveries in India, some people actually go and choose a mahurat to give birth to their baby…

hahhahahahhahahhahh! Who would’ve thought of that! Us superstitious Indians, we will find a way to alter destiny’s stars. Mahurat for birth! What will be next? Mahurat for death too? To ensure a nice afterlife?
