Chetan Bhagat – “Young India wants meri nokri aur meri chokri.” Ahem. Le me says excusez moi—??

February 13, 2013 § 2 Comments

Umm… so… CB said (sorry he said it six months ago but I read it now) he says –

“What Young India wants is meri naukri aur meri chhokri – a good job and a good girlfriend.”

Umm… didn’t you like, kind of, miss out  50 % of the youth population?
Unless all the youth females, they are all lesbians.
In which case they would certainly want a girlfriend.
In which case there would be a drastic dearth of girlfriends.
So maybe the youth will only have nokri and no chokri!
Umm. (awkward)

New York

New York taking inspiration from Puneri Patya? Lol. There was a show going on on the side and instead I notice this.

The extreme lack of parking in NYC and exasperated officials putting up exasperated signs!

box decoration? umm.

well. I got a kinda jewelry box that needed decoration. Its wood. And my acrylic paint refused to go on! It needed multiple coats and I wasn’t bothered with doing that. Impatience has claimed this box! Still. To cover up my botched painting efforts I got hold of some thread and colored some paper. And then pasted some bunting.

I am actually, a big fan of bunting!!  Although, I might tweak this a bit. But for now this is it.

Art installations by Pors and Rao, Banglore

October 3, 2012 § Leave a comment

I stumbled on this TED video… (TED videos are amazing if you don’t already know it.do explore them!)  This is about art installations done by the designer duo Soren Pors and Aparna Rao. Its absolutely delightful. And so creative! Love the pygmies. I m new to art installations, never really went beyond the traditional art forms. Although since it got a lot of publicity, I know Damien Hirst and I m not a fan. But this is absoltely great! Check it out.

Their works, as described by the artists themselves, are ‘a personal exploration of subtle unconscious patterns and limitations that influence our behaviours and relationships; and the applied fiction or imaginative logic that makes them seem logical. The resulting work can be idiosyncratic, but still logical on its own terms’.

Coffee at night… a little adventurous perhaps…? Caffeine does have different effects on different people.
